History of Pabna Medical College
Pabna Medical College was founded in 2008 to expand medical education opportunities in northern Bangladesh.
Initially operated from unused buildings of Pabna Mental Hospital
Clinical training started at Pabna General Hospital located around 5 km away
In 2009, 33 acres of land were allocated for the permanent campus
A six-storey academic building was inaugurated in January 2013
In September 2023, the foundation stone of a modern 500-bed hospital was laid
The institution continues to improve facilities and academic capacity
